Surfshark is based in the British Virgin Islands, an overseas territory of The Great Britain which allows it to follow a strict no logs policy.

Surfshark is capable of handling popular streaming services like:

  • NetFlix
  • Hulu
  • BBC iPlayer

“Unlimited Devices” can be connected to a single Surfshark subscription whereas VPNs generally limit it to 5. However, you may experience compromised speeds as the number of connected devices increase. IKEv2/IPsec is the default protocol in their VPN apps.

It also supports P2P, follows a no logs policy and military grade encryption standards.

Kill Switch and WebRTC leak protection are also available. Additionally, CleanWeb™ as they say lets you surf in a clean cyber ocean with no ads, trackers, malware and phishing attempts. Also, Whitelister™ allows specific apps and websites to bypass the VPN and Works great with mobile banking apps.

Speed

Surfshark has servers distributed over 50+ countries which are capable of delivering decent upload and download speeds around the globe. Moreover, being a new VPN provider with less users, one can expect less congestion over the VPN network and hence, good speeds.

Peak Speed: 40- 48 Mbps

Choosing a server closer to you could give you a speed boost if you encounter lags while streaming.

    Instagram problem

I live in Poland, and my friend lives in Germany, and he is a music video operator, so often he uploads short music videos from the studio, but I can’t listen to them because I always see that “Instagram music isn’t available in your region.” So this is why I bought Surfshark, works well, no speed problems, and most importantly it unlocks not only Instagram but Youtube videos too.

    Great

When I first saw this provider I was so surprised that they are offering so much great features for such a low price. It is irreplaceable when I need to access some websites which content is not available in my country.

    Awesome

I like it and I’m not exactly a newbie when it comes to VPNs so I had plenty providers to compare. I see you mention ‘speeds may not be consistent’ but my experience is that if you use a ‘quick connect’ feature it’s always pretty steady. Also, I have not seen Whitelister on any other VPN I’ve tried before, so big ups for this. After almost 4 months I’m still happy, I’d say that’s a good start.
